Rip currents: How do you spot them and how to survive?

We all want to play in the sea this summer, but do you know what to do if you get caught in a rip current?

RNLI lifeguards tell us what to do if we find ourselves getting dragged out into deeper waters.

A rip current is a body of water that flows out to sea, and there are tell-tale signs to look out for.

The trick is to stay calm and swim horizontally along the beach and out of the rip current, as RNLI lifeguards in Swansea explain.
