Clunes 'slightly nervous' about judging horse event

Actor Martin Clunes says he is "slightly nervous" to judge the main horse event at this year's Royal Welsh Show.

The devoted equestrian will serve as a distinguished judge at the supreme horse championship in Llanelwedd, Powys, in July.

Animal-lover Clunes is best know for his portrayal of Dr Martin Ellingham in the television series Doc Martin.

He told BBC Radio Wales Breakfast despite his slight nerves at being given such responsibility, he will "have a smile from ear to ear the whole day".
