Dolphin calf rescued in New Quay
As the dolphin spotting boat trips begin for another season in New Quay, the team at Dolphin Spotting Boat Trips had a "very rare encounter" on Saturday morning.
Two common dolphins were spotted very close to the shore of Cardigan Bay, with the calf appearing unwell.
The crew along with a team from the British Divers Marine Life Rescue, and members of the public acted quickly and they were able to save the calf who had been separated from its mother.
The company have said that the calf hasn't been spotted since, and they're hoping that "no news is good news".
