Drones search for future Ystalyfera landslips

Drones are being used in a bid to spot future landslips which are threatening to hit homes in Neath Port Talbot.

About 20 people were told to leave a terraced row in Ystalyfera after mounds of earth fell down the hillside in August.

Neath Port Talbot council has said there is "no feasible engineering solution to the landslips issue" and its role is to keep residents safe.

The council has been using drones fitted with laser scanners to create a digital model of the surrounding landscape to monitor any movements.
