Plans for council homes on former sea cadets site
New council housing could be built on a former sea cadets site in Caterham.
Tandridge District Council is set to submit a planning application for land it bought from the Ministry of Defence in 2023.
Earlier plans showed the site at The Grove and Hawarden Road, which includes a former barracks, could be used for up to 16 homes.
Council documents show they would all be family sized, with two to four bedrooms, and would be available at 70% of market rent.
They would be retained by the council and let to families in housing need.
The project, including an extra £50,000 to fund it, is set to be discussed by the council on 18 June.
