A county lines crackdown in Surrey has led to 18 arrests and £6,385 in cash seized.

Surrey Police said that between 25 November and 1 December, 55 bladed articles, four firearms and one taser were all seized.

As part of "county lines intensification week", officers visited 13 hotels and seven schools, speaking with over 200 students.

Ch Ins Nolan Heather said: ''County Lines gangs prey on the most vulnerable members of our community for their own benefit."

He continued: "The results from last week demonstrate that we are committed to disrupting County Lines operations."
