A joint operation between Cambridgeshire Police and the Metropolitan Police revealed he was dealing across the city between September 2023 and February 2024, officers said

A drug dealer has been jailed for seven years after supplying cocaine, heroin and cannabis between London and Cambridge.

Police said Nabil Aziz was operating the so-called "Bingo" county line between September 2023 and February 2024.

The 27-year-old of Cliff Walk, Newham, east London, was sentenced at Peterborough Crown Court on Monday after being found guilty of being concerned in supplying heroin and cocaine and pleading guilty to being concerned in cannabis supply.

Det Con Ed Glasse said it was not the first time Aziz had been behind bars because of county lines drug dealing.

"After dealing again within a month of his last prison release, we've secured evidence to put him back in jail and dismantled another drug line in Cambridge," he said.

"County lines dealers prey on the vulnerabilities of others in order to run their business and make money.

"We recognise the impact they have on our communities and will continue to put them before the courts to make the county a safer place."
