'Otterburn Hall was just my whole life'
Otterburn Hall in Northumberland National Park is a 25-bedroom stately home that has fallen into disrepair since its permanent closure.
The BBC spoke to Alma Hardy and Margret Wilson who have treasured memories of the hall.
Ms Wilson said she first visited when she was nine months old and got a job there as a teenager.
In March, the property was sold at auction for £305,000 by SDL Property Auctions - the third time it has changed owner in the past five years.
Both women hope "something will be made" of the hall again which has been a huge part of their lives.
