Burma war veteran celebrates 100th birthday

A World War Two veteran is celebrating his 100th birthday.

Captain Walter Godsal, who lives in Winsford, Somerset, fought in the Burma Campaign in which Allied forces defeated the Japanese.

He was in the Royal Navy for 37 years and is one of the few surviving members of the Burma Star Association.

For his special day, he was joined by family and local dignitaries at the Royal British Legion's Dunkirk Memorial House, near Taunton.
