Seaside town's wavy parking lines removed
A controversial road scheme in a seaside town is being reversed after years of protests by residents.
In 2022, a set of wavy lines and a cycle lane were installed along Beach Road in Clevedon, removing the previous car parking spaces which had faced the sea.
The scheme cost more than £1.3m and was criticised by the RAC, which called it "bizarre". At the time, North Somerset Council said it would slow traffic.
Now the lines are being removed, at a further cost of £400,000.
