Swansea charity shop asks customers not to donate sex toys
A charity shop has asked its customers to stop donating sex toys.
Posting on Facebook, the Barnardo's shop in Gorseinon, Swansea, asked customers to "refrain from donating your used and unused marital aids".
It said people who donate should "be mindful that we are a children's charity" and "have a range of ages on our wonderful volunteer team".
"We would like to remind you that the branch has CCTV," it said.
It said any items donated could therefore be traced back to the owners.
On its website, Bernardo's lists items that can be donated to its shops - such as clothes, shoes, jewellery and books.
It is not the first time charity shops have reported receiving unusual donations.
A shop in Aberdare, Rhondda Cynon Taf, previously reported receiving a prosthetic leg "with the shoe still attached", while the British Red Cross said it had received used sex toys, stuffed family pets and false teeth.
