Woman airlifted to hospital after A747 crash

A 75-year-old woman has been airlifted to hospital after a crash on the A747 in south west Scotland.

Emergency services were sent to the scene between Glenluce and Port William at about 08:45.

Police Scotland said the female driver had suffered serious injuries in the single-vehicle accident.

She was taken to the Queen Elizabeth University Hospital in Glasgow for treatment and the road was reopened by about 12:55.
