Stormont opposition: Matthew O'Toole says SDLP will be constructive
The SDLP has confirmed it will form an official opposition at the Northern Ireland Assembly.
The party failed to win enough seats in the election in May to be entitled to a ministry in the executive.
Matthew O'Toole, who has been nominated to lead the opposition, said the party would hold others at Stormont to account.
Mr O'Toole said voters have long wanted a proper resourced and functioning opposition.
