Watch: Suffolk deer freed from wire by RSPCA and firefighters
The moment a deer was released back into woods after getting its antlers trapped in chicken wire has been caught on video.
Firefighters and the RSPCA spent an hour cutting the animal free in woodland off Rede Lane, Barham, Suffolk, on 18 January after a dog walker raised the alarm.
RSPCA Inspector Jason Finch managed to cover the deer's head with a towel and secure its body to a tree to allow the team to remove the fencing.
He said: “The moment when we cut the deer free was just amazing - we were all just over the moon that this was a happy outcome for such an incredible and powerful animal.”
