Loughborough: Caring sister switches on Christmas lights

An 11-year-old girl who helps care for her disabled sister has switched on a town's Christmas lights.

Amellia turned on Loughborough's festive illuminations on Sunday after winning a competition.

She impressed judges with how she helps look after her sister Imogen, nine, who has a rare neurogenetic disorder.

Amellia said switching on the Christmas lights in front of a large crowd in the town's Market Place was "scary" but "exciting".
