Buzzard is released back into wild after infection
A buzzard has been released back into the wild after it was found barely responsive in a Leicestershire field.
The bird had been suffering from an internal parasite called gapeworm and was very underweight when he was found, Leicestershire Wildlife Hospital said.
The charity nursed the bird back to strength before releasing him on Monday.
"You can see that he was absolutely itching to go when returned back to his finding location," a Facebook post from the charity said.
