The ex-soldier restoring 16 miles of dry stone wall
A former soldier has hung up his boots and picked up his chisel to maintain 16 miles (25.7km) of dry stone wall.
Leon Fairbrother, who served in Iraq and Afghanistan during a 24-year career in the Coldstream Guards, now works as an apprentice dry stone waller at Bradgate Park in Leicestershire.
After finishing his career in the Army as a RSM, Mr Fairbrother took up the role at Bradgate Park after his mother and father showed him the job advert.
"There were guys probably like me hundreds of years ago doing this [restoring dry stone wall]," he said.
"It feels like I'm leaving my mark on Leicestershire."
