Cold weather allows people to try 'Fen skating'
Ice skaters from across the country have been travelling miles to Cambridgeshire to try Fen skating during the cold snap.
Weather conditions have meant flooded meadows have frozen over, creating sheets of shallow ice on top of the ground.
Peter Carr, who drove all the way from Basingstoke on Friday, said: "It's a lovely opportunity to get some skating in the outdoors."
Although safer than skating on frozen rivers, people have been advised to take care and check how thick the ice is before starting.
