Guernsey Ports allows harbour dives at Christmas
Diving groups will once again be allowed to dive in St Peter Port Harbour on Christmas Day.
Divers must be part of an organised group and submit risk assessments and safety plans to the Port Authority by 20 December, Guernsey Ports said.
Once approval has been given, divers must bring a surface marker buoy, and travel with a support vessel with VHF radio monitoring Guernsey VTS (channel 12) at all times.
Captain Jerome Davies, harbour-master, said Christmas Day was the only day of the year when group dives "can be carried out safely" in the harbour.
