Woman, 86, dies after car crash

An 86-year-old woman has died after a car crash.

The incident took place on the A660 Leeds Road between Pool in Wharfedale and Otley at about 10:15 GMT on Saturday, police said.

The woman was pronounced dead at the scene, a West Yorkshire Police spokesperson added.

They said the road remained closed while officers investigate, and appealed for any witnesses or anyone with dashcam footage to get in touch.
