Three men seriously hurt in crash with lorry
Three men have been seriously injured after a car collided with a lorry.
Cambridgeshire Police was called to the scene of the crash in a layby on the eastbound A47 at Thorney by-pass, near Peterborough, at about 21:20 BST on Friday.
Three people were in an Audi when it collided with a stationary lorry in the layby.
The driver of the Audi, the front seat passenger and rear-seat passenger were taken to Peterborough City Hospital with serious injuries.
Paramedics were also called to the scene and the road was closed.
The driver of the lorry was unhurt.
A 29-year-old man from March, Cambridgeshire, was arrested on suspicion of causing serious injury by dangerous driving whilst unfit through drink.
He has been bailed until 5 July.
A 35-year-old man from St Neots, was arrested on suspicion of failing to appear before the courts and has been remanded in custody.
He was due to appear in court on Monday.
Cambridgeshire Police has appealed for anybody with dashcam footage or information about the incident to get in contact.
