Road closures planned to repair crash damage
Drivers are being warned of overnight closures on a busy Leicestershire road.
National Highways said it needed to carry out repairs to damage caused by a crash on the A453 near Kegworth.
The Local Democracy Reporting Service (LDRS) said there would be restrictions on the route between junction 24a of the M1 and the Kegworth Bypass.
The A453 will be partially closed to traffic between 20:00 BST and 05:00 on both 28 and 29 September.
The work will also impact the East Midlands Gateway Roundabout.
During the closures, the eastbound lane of the Kegworth Bypass will be closed to drivers between its junctions with the A453 and Ashby Road.
Meanwhile, westbound traffic will only be able to turn left onto the A453 towards the Finger Farm Roundabout.
Drivers leaving the East Midlands Gateway will have to turn left towards junction 24a of the M1.
Lane closures are also planned on the A453 for those travelling both northbound and southbound.
Leicestershire County Council, the local highways authority, said diversions would be signposted during the work.
