Attempted murder arrests over man's stabbing

Two people have been arrested on suspicion of the attempted murder of a man injured in a stabbing.

It happened at Siddow Common in Leigh, Wigan, at about 18:50 GMT on Tuesday.

The victim, aged in his 30s, was taken to hospital for further treatment, while two men in their 40s have been arrested and remain in custody.

Greater Manchester Police detectives urged anyone with relevant information to get in touch.
