Man charged in connection with armed robberies

A man has been charged in connection with a series of armed robberies.

Leicestershire Police said it was called to reports of two armed robberies in Blaby Road, Wigston, and Ethel Road in Leicester on 11 October, and a third incident in Grove Park, Enderby, on 12 October.

A 28-year-old man, of no fixed address, was charged with three counts of robbery.

He was remanded into custody and was due to appear at Walsall Magistrates' Court on Saturday, the force said.
