Artist’s impressions submitted to planners show what a new 120-room hotel at Everards Meadows could look like.

A hotel across from the Enderby site’s Beer Hall, Leicestershire, was approved in principle in 2022 as well as new offices nearby.

Now an application has been made to Blaby District Council to approve the four-storey hotel’s layout, design, car parking and landscaping.

Applicants Everards Brewery Ltd said while there will be a public reception with two meeting rooms for guests to use, there are no plans for a bar, restaurant or external conference rooms.

Documents submitted to the council show this is to encourage hotel guests to make use of the existing on-site facilities within Everards Meadows, said the Local Democracy Reporting Service.

If given the final approval the hotel would join the Everards Beer Hall, Rutland Cycling and Jennos Coffee House at the site near Fosse Park, which first opened in 2019.

The meadows site also has more than 70 acres of open space.

Plans for the second phase of the project to create offices will be presented to the council at a later date.
