A Sussex road has reopened after a vehicle fire forced the closure of one carriageway.

The A27 westbound was closed as emergency services responded to the car fire near Devil's Dyke, north of Brighton.

All three lanes were open just after 14:00 GMT, a Sussex Police spokesperson confirmed.

An East Sussex Fire and Rescue spokesperson said a call had come in at 12:35 regarding a single vehicle fire.
