A man has appeared in court accused of killing a man who suffered serious head injuries in Lincoln.

Max Skidmore, 37, was charged with the manslaughter of Eddie Roberts, 55, whose body was discovered in Carholme Road just after 23:00 GMT on Sunday.

He appeared at Lincoln Magistrates' Court today, but no pleas were entered.

Mr Skidmore was remanded in custody and is due to appear at Lincoln Crown Court for a plea and trial preparation hearing on 8 January.
