Three levels of a multi-storey car park in St Helier have been closed as part of ongoing maintenance work.

Levels 12,13 and 14 of Pier Road Car Park closed to motorists and pedestrians on Wednesday for four weeks.

The States of Jersey announced refurbishment plans for the car park last year, with work starting in April 2025 for a completion date at the end of October.

The Infrastructure and Environment Department said it was thanking members of the public for their "continued patience and cooperation".

It said pedestrian access to Fort Regent and La Petite Ecole nursery would remain available via the stairs and escalators located on Level 10 while the upper level closures were in place.

"There will be no pram or wheelchair access to Fort Regent via the car park for the duration of this closure," it added.

"Alternative parking and accessible routes should be used."
