Woman, 83, dies in two-vehicle crash

An 83-year-old woman died in a road crash, police have confirmed.

Emergency services were called to a collision on Talavera Way, in Northampton, on Friday at about 13:05 GMT between a blue Ford EcoSport and a red Vauxhall Agila.

The 83-year-old female passenger of the Vauxhall died at the scene. The driver of the same car was taken to University Hospital Coventry with serious injuries.

Officers are appealing for any witnesses or anyone who has CCTV or dashcam footage to contact them, quoting incident number 24000739976.
