Charity offers meals and presents for Christmas
A charity in Jersey is urging people to sign up if they would like to have a hot meal for Christmas Day, or to have some company.
Salvation Army said it would be supporting people who may not be able to afford to cook a traditional roast lunch this year.
The trust said it would be open to people on Christmas Day and would also be available for on Christmas Eve for people to pick up a dinner if they would prefer to be on their own.
Co-leader of the Salvation Army Alice Nunn said it had a range of activities planned.
She said: "We absolutely loved doing Christmas Day here for the community and it is open to anybody that really could potentially be on their own, or sometimes couples that might be struggling that just want to be around other people.
"We love having that real family feel of all ages together and just having Christmas together to celebrate and enjoy a bit of cheer and share a bit of love and share a bit of care for each other."
Ms Nunn said the charity had 200 presents ready for Christmas Day.
"For some people that come to us on Christmas Day, that might be the only present they get, so we try and put a lot of effort into finding something nice for people that they can open on Christmas."
