Man released following Brighton murder arrest

A man arrested on suspicion of murder after another man was found dead at a property in Brighton has been released, according to police.

Emergency services were called to Upper Hollingdean Road at about 10:00 GMT on Thursday after concerns were raised for the welfare of a man.

Christopher Fox, 41, was confirmed dead at the scene.

The arrested man, aged 49 and from Hove, has been released with no action to be taken, pending further enquiries, said Sussex Police.

Det Ch Insp Mark Cullimore said: "Christopher and his family are at the forefront of our minds as we investigate the circumstances that led to his tragic death and uncover the answers they deserve."

He thanked the local the community for their patience and support and said the investigation would continue "at pace".
