Nasa reveals giant lava lake on Jupiter's volcanic moon
Two very close recent flybys of Io by the Juno spacecraft have revealed more detail about the most volcanic world in the solar system - Jupiter's mysterious moon, Io.
Nasa has released a new animation of a giant lava lake discovered on Io's surface.
Io has long been known to be volcanically active, but new research suggests that Jupiter's moon has been spewing lava since the dawn of the solar system, some 4.57 billion years ago.
