'It's quite a responsibility voicing the Metro'
The voice behind the Tyne and Wear Metro was revealed for the first time this week - it's a man called Mark Bryant.
Mr Bryant has been recording the Metro's automatic announcements for 15 years.
He hopped on a train with the BBC to treat commuters to a live performance of his famous voice-over work.
"The next station is Hebburn," Mark exclaimed, as he showcased his favourite station - the one he calls home.
Before this fateful journey, Mr Bryant had never been recognised for his voice, much less met a fan of his announcements.
Train enthusiast James Wright, 18, from Durham, had travelled up just to see the new Metro trains first hand and ride the full network loop.
Much to his delight and surprise, he also got to meet the voice behind the Tyne and Wear Metro announcements.
"I've heard his voice for the past 10 years now, and it's really nice, it's really awesome," said James.
