Broadcasters perform St David's Day duet
"There's so much dramatic news, so much bad news in the world, it's so nice to break off from that just for a moment and do something nice," says BBC Russia Editor Steve Rosenberg.
He has marked St David's Day by recording a version of love song "Myfanwy" with cellist and Channel 4 News presenter Ciaran Jenkins.
With both journalists known individually for sharing musical performances online, it prompted a suggestion that they should collaborate, Rosenberg told BBC Radio Wales Breakfast.
They decided on Myfanwy as it is a famous Welsh song written by Joseph Parry who was born in Merthyr Tydfil in 1841, which is also Jenkins' hometown.
He said Parry's music had had "this real hold on me my entire life" and he used to pass Parry's former home regularly while living in the town.
Jenkins said he was "so pleased" to share it on St David's Day.
And he went on to say that he hoped that he and Rosenberg could eventually meet after recording their collaboration virtually.
