Overjoyed Wales players arrive home after victory

This was the moment fans cheered Wales players as they arrived home after making history by reaching a major women's tournament for the first time.

Rhian Wilkinson's side beat Republic of Ireland 2-1 at Dublin's Aviva Stadium to win the Euro 2025 play-off final 3-2 on aggregate.

Beaming defender Lily Woodham said the team had made history.

"This is something we've wanted to achieve for so long and [I'm] buzzing to do it with all the girls," she added.
