Passengers share thoughts on Metro vape ban plan
Tyne and Wear Metro operator Nexus is proposing to ban the use of vapes and electronic cigarettes on services and in stations.
In order to create a new bylaw to prohibit vaping, as required by the Department for Transport, a consultation period is continuing until 24 March.
If the proposal is approved, those caught vaping on the Metro could face a fine of up to £1,000.
The BBC asked commuters what they thought about the potential change.
