'We've got the vibe', say Mancunians welcoming Brit Awards
The relocation of the Brit Awards to Manchester has been welcomed by those in the city who have said "we've got the vibe".
The 2026 ceremony will be held at the Co-op Live arena on Saturday 28 February.
The Brit Awards, which began in 1977, have always been staged in London.
When BBC Radio Manchester gauged the mood in the city's Northern Quarter, people there said it would provide "a lot of opportunities" and could inspire the next generation of musicians.
