Bus named in honour of city's first female bus driver
A bus has been named in honour of the first female bus driver in Salisbury.
Gwen Watton made history in 1972 when she secured her Public Service Drivers Licence on the first attempt.
She went on to drive buses throughout the south west of England and to London - while her husband stayed at home to look after their four children.
She has now been recognised by Salisbury Reds for helping to pave the way for many women in public transport.
