Women told alternative treatments could risk health
Doctors and campaigners are warning women to be careful when it comes to choosing alternative treatments from online and social media adverts.
Molly Fenton, founder of Love Your Period, advised women not to take anything unless it had first been sanctioned by a health professional.
"Make sure you've looked into it and done your research," she added.
"Look online and find out the real science behind it, and if that's not available then that's probably a big red flag."
