Teenagers arrested after Southend machete incidents

Police footage shows the moment several young males are arrested following a confrontation with machetes in a seaside resort.

Ten people have been sentenced to up to eight years in jail after "two rival gangs" confronted each other in Southend-on-Sea last summer.

Families watched on as the violent disorder erupted by the beach and High Street on 30 July.

It followed an invite to bring alcohol, drugs and nitrous oxide to a "beach rave" on what was the hottest day of the year so far.
