Second man charged over murder of Alan Lawson in North Ayrshire

A second man has been arrested and charged in connection with the murder of a 36-year-old man in North Ayrshire.

Alan Lawson died in hospital on 6 February after being found seriously injured at his home in Saltcoats.

Mr Lawson was understood to have been assaulted at a property in nearby Largs before being left at his home.

The 27-year-old arrested man is due to appear at Kilmarnock Sheriff Court on Wednesday.

A 29-year-old man was previously arrested and charged in connection with the murder and appeared at Kilmarnock Sheriff Court on 20 February.
