NI health: 'I was diagnosed with leukaemia in A&E'

Clare Crossey had a feeling things weren't right.

There was the tiredness, the mysterious bruises.

She visited a GP, who put the symptoms down to anxiety.

But after she felt worse, she went to a hospital emergency department - she was admitted and told she had acute myeloid leukaemia.

The medical team told her that had she waited any longer to come to the emergency department, she could have died.
