Dunmurry attack: Pipe bomb partially explodes in garden of house
There has been a pipe bomb attack at a house in Dunmurry on the outskirts of Belfast.
A device partially exploded in the garden of the house in Sunnymede Park, shortly after 23:30 GMT on Friday.
A number of people were moved from their homes as a precaution while police and Army bomb experts examined the scene.
They have since returned to their homes and the road has reopened.
Police said a controlled explosion was carried out on the device at nearby playing fields.
It has been recovered for forensic examination.
Police said establishing a motive for the attack will now form part of the investigation and a link is being explored between a car found burning in The Green area of Dunmurry minutes after the attack.
They have appealed for information.
