The crash happened on the Steeple Road near Antrim town

A County Antrim road has been closed following a serious collision involving a motorbike and a lorry.

It happened on the Steeple Road, near Antrim town, shortly before 09:34 GMT on Thursday morning.

The Northern Ireland Ambulance Service (NIAS) said no patients were taken from the scene.

"NIAS despatched two Emergency Crews, one Rapid Response Vehicle and one Doctor to the incident," a spokesperson said in a statement.

Diversions are in place at the junction of Rough Lane.

Police have asked drivers to avoid the area.
