Man killed in crash near A11 at Barton Mills after his car hits a tree

A 50-year-old man has died after his car hit a tree near the A11 at Barton Mills in Suffolk.

Suffolk police said Peter Harvey, of Soham in Cambridgeshire, died at the scene at 22:00 GMT on Thursday.

The southbound carriageway was closed while a collision investigation took place. The road was reopened at 05:00 on Friday.

Police have asked for anybody with information or dashcam footage to contact them.
