Didsbury death: Tribute to man after traffic lights 'altercation'
A man who died after an "altercation" at traffic lights had a warmth and love that "touched the hearts of everyone he met", his family has said.
Sadiq Al-lami, 30, died in hospital after being attacked when the cars stopped at lights on the A34, Kingsway, in Didsbury at 01:40 GMT on Tuesday.
An 18-year-old man arrested on suspicion of murder remains in police custody for questioning.
Mr Al-lami's family said he would never be forgotten.
"Sadiq's warmth and love touched the hearts of everyone that he met," they said.
"His love and laughter were contagious, and he was always full of life."
Greater Manchester Police previously said Mr Al-lami and his attacker were "travelling in separate vehicles along Kingsway" before the "altercation" between the Parrs Wood Lane and Queensway junctions.
The force said his attacker failed to stop at the scene and left in their vehicle.
Police have urged anyone with information to come forward as investigations continue.
