Brianna Ghey's dad vows to ensure her memory lives on

The father of murdered teenager Brianna Ghey said he was "so proud of what she could do" and "knew she was going to be a star".

The 16-year-old, who was transgender, was stabbed 28 times in a "ferocious" attack in a park in Cheshire.

A boy and a girl who had a fascination with violence and torture have been found guilty of her murder.

Peter Spooner said his heart "bleeds every day for Brianna and this will never go away, and the amount of guilt I have is sometimes unbearable".

"I will ensure her memory lives on in my thoughts and dreams," he added.
