The moment missing dog in Shipley is rescued from busy rail tracks
A dog has been rescued and reunited with her owners after being spotted on train tracks in West Yorkshire.
Mia, who had been missing for three days, had even been seen sleeping on the tracks near Shipley while a train headed towards her.
Drone footage from Busters Animal SOS team, a group of volunteers who search for missing animals, shows the pet running down tracks near Shipley railway station.
Thanks to the footage, rescuers were able to pinpoint her location and return Mia to her owners.
Vivienne Hanson, from the team, said: "A member of our team had located Mia walking the tracks, even sleeping at one point in the middle of an active line with a train heading in her direction.
"It was an absolutely sickening time for us all to watch, but she did jump and get herself to the side."
Network Rail staff were finally able to reach Mia through a nearby access point.
A spokesperson said: "We're delighted our team have been able to help provide a happy ending for Mia the dog by reuniting her with her owners.
"Our teams found Mia safe and well in undergrowth alongside the railway line.
"Although she was a little nervous and scared, she was tempted out with some food and our teams returned her safely for an emotional reunion."
Karlos, Mia's owner, said it was "the worst three days of our lives".
"Mia is our little fighter who didn't give up and is now healthy and happy at home with us," he added.
