The 18 new recycling banks will make it more convenient for residents to dispose of small electrical items

Recycling banks for small electrical items have been installed throughout Gravesham, as part of a scheme to reduce e-waste.

Gravesham Borough Council has installed a total of 18 banks in the borough.

It said almost all residents would be able to recycle small electricals within a one-mile radius of their home.

Emma Morley, cabinet member for operational services, said: "This will help us towards our ambition of becoming a net zero borough by 2030.

"I know these are the sorts of items people are often confused about how to dispose of. These new recycling points make that a problem of the past."

An electric vehicle will be used to collect the waste.

The project has been funded by the not-for-profit group Material Focus.
