A man has died after being struck by a car at a commercial car wash.

Hampshire Constabulary said the 35-year-old suffered serious injuries after being knocked down shortly after midday on Sunday at Car Wash Bay in Bishopstoke, Hampshire.

He died in hospital on Tuesday.

Two Southampton men, aged 42 and 53, have been arrested on suspicion of gross negligence manslaughter. Police have appealed for witnesses.

A 23-year-old man from the city, who was detained at the scene on suspicion of causing serious injury by careless driving, has been released on bail.
